What Is Kolab?

Kolab is a comprehensive and flexible solution for workgroups. Email, contacts and group calendars can be managed at leisure both via Windows/Outlook and via GNU/Linux/KDE. No permanent network connection is necessary; as soon as you are online again, the mailbox will be synchronized with the server.

What Is The Kolab Konsortium?

The Kolab Konsortium is supported by the companies Intevation GmbH, Klarälvdalens Datakonsult AB and erfrakon PartG, which have been working together successfully since 2002.

Kolab Server 2.2.0 Final Release

The new version of Kolab integrates the web client Horde and includes upgrades of central Kolab server components Apache, PHP, Postfix and Cyrus.

Kolab integrates mobile devices via SyncML

Appointment dates and contact information can now be synchronized on mobile devices. The SyncML protocol has been integrated into the Horde part of Kolab server.

This release contains bug fixes and some new minor features. Source and binary packages for Kolab KDE Client 2.1.12 are available for download.

Kolab Server 2.2 Beta 3 (with Horde web client) released

Since 2.2 beta 2 the Kolab server provides a web client that supports all the groupware features known from Outlook and Kontact. Thus users are less dependent on their local client and can access their groupware data from anywhere in the world provided they have a standard browser available.
